This workshop is for members of the Miami Nation of Indiana or Miami adults living in Canada who want to learn more about the Myaamia language. No previous experience is required or expected. This introductory workshop will introduce you to the language, pronunciation, and teach you about how to better understand a Miami worldview through the language. This workshop will take place in Windsor, Ontario and is an in-person event only. Those traveling afar can share lodging in a shared rental. Cost of this workshop will include cost of printed materials, shared meals, and shared housing. Every opportunity to keep costs low will be made. While Windsor does have an airport and a trains stations, folks travelling from the United States may find it more affordable to fly into Detroit.
